OUR GOAL  Since 2014 when we began, our goal at IET has been to engage our members and readers through thoughtful and useful information about energy and the environment, and to invite conversations that will lead to action that will correct the negative impacts of climate change.

OUR MISSION  We want to establish and maintain meaningful relationships thst carry out the spirit and effect of our community mission on Islesboro and beyond: maintaining and building relationships that will sustain, foster and strengthen existing programs and enable ongoing program growth; identifying and meeting the energy-related needs of private and nonprofit sectors; serving the sustainability, welfare, health, and education of community residents; fostering stewardship of natural ecosystems; supporting social and economic vitality; and establishing and maintaining meaningful relationships within our community and with communities and organizations beyond ourselves.
